Learning through Play

As you observe children in all settings the most natural thing for them to do is play. As they play they learn skills such as turn taking, following directions, communication, social interactions, and acceptance to just name a few things.

As Early professionals observe play they assess where the child is at, where they need to go next, and the best way to get them there. Understanding where children like to spend their day in the classroom will help the teacher plan lessons for each student to move them to the next learning level.

Teachers will meet with families to explain how and why the lessons are being implemented. Parents will see where children started and how they progress throughout the year. Teachers will have individual goals for each student in his/her care.

When you are looking for a child development for a center for your children look for the above criteria to ensure you are receiving the best quality care for your family.
